What's Your Story?

Center Pointe Christian Church has worked diligently for 22 years to help people in this area center their lives on Jesus Christ.  As we are embarking on a season of ministry we want to hear your stories.  How has this church helped you put Jesus in the center of your life?  Please share your story below so we can be mutually encouraged by the life-change happening here.  Thank you for sharing with us.

Our Stories

We have been at CenterPointe for a year and a half.  We have loved our church because it has pushed us and challenged us to grow stronger in our relationship with Jesus and continually trust and rely on the Lord in all we do.  Before Isaiah was born, we had adopted 3 children from birth.  Each adoption was God-led and a miracle story.  Read more...

One of our first services at Center Pointe was “Upward Sunday 2004”.  We arrived that day to find the church filled with players, cheerleaders, coaches and parents.  We had just recently moved to the area and had no idea what Upward was all about.  Read more...

What's Your Story?  In January 2007, the pastor of our church in Atlanta encouraged all of us to pray for spiritual growth in the coming year- beyond any expectations.  I began to pray that prayer- seeking revival, community, deeper connection, deeper knowledge, intimacy with my Savior and a sense of urgency and fire for His kingdom and gospel.   Read more...

What's Your Story? We're new at the church. We had been very-involved members of another church since before we were married and as our lives grew in Christ, we continued to look for ways to grow even more. In the past 2 years, we began to feel like we were "stuck" in our church.  Read more...

What's Your Story? My story ….. no, not really. Simply another confirmation that God has a plan for all of us, whether we like it or not! Like most of us, I come from a broken home where my parents divorced when I was young.  Read more...

What's Your Story? One Hour With a Bolt
I've been a "Christian" since 1992, but I don't always FEEL like Jesus is in the center of my life. Just this weekend, I was repairing a leaky toilet in our home. I needed to remove the tank from the bowl, which should consist of the two simple steps of removing exactly two bolts.  Read more...

What's Your Story? My life was difficult from the very begininng. My parents divorced when I was very young and my mother gave up custody of my sister and I to my father. My dad is an alcoholic, who is mentally and physically abusive. The women he brought into our home were equally abusive.   Read more...

What's Your Story? I sit here tonight in awe of what a year has brought, A little over a year ago I felt as if my family were to be pulled apart. All because we could not "find a Church". Yes, I realize it is God who find's us a Church, not us. Through thick and thin we search for God's will. But we all need to realize that in God's time he will take care of us. I am thankful for the strength of Jesus Christ that has moved my family from a place of unrest to a place where we can breath freely in him. To seek, study, share, and serve all have alot more meaning in our lives! Jason Bonk Submitted By: Jason Bonk

What's Your Story?  My husband Doug (who preceded me to Heaven October 1, 2006) and I visited Center Pointe Christian Church the Sunday before Steven Sams came to minister.  Since Doug wanted to hear Steven preach, knowing his dad, we came back the next Sunday and many Sundays after that.  Steven's sermons were messages to grow on and we liked the warm spirit of the congregation.  However, when we formally placed our membership, now called partnering, only one person welcomed us to the fellowship.  Read more...

What's Your Story? Wow! I have so many ways to point to the life transforming power of Jesus at the center of my life! But the piece that I want to focus on is how serving God has impacted me, my marriage and our family. My name is Libby Cottrell and I am blessed beyond measure to serve as the Women’s Ministry team leader at CPCC. At the core of everything we do in Women’s Ministry is a commitment to transforming power of God’s Word. And transforming it has been in my own life!  Read more...

What's Your Story? Prior to my experience at Center Pointe Christian, I had been feeling a disconnect in general and was in need of some healing in areas of my life. I had an immediate sense of comfort when I visited Center Pointe. People I came in contact with were very warm and friendly and it was just very evident that it was a God driven church full of devoted people, joyfully serving the Lord. My family has been blessed with the wonderful children's ministry and staff. I'll forever be thankful for the women's bible studies and core classes that I learned so much from- individually and with my husband. And then there is our Life Group- WOW- not just mine and my husband's life group. but our children's Life Group as well. With all of this support and encouragement, I got REAL with them, real with myself and the issues, and most importantly RIGHT with Jesus. It has been life changing and life giving. Praise be to God and thank you to my church family. Submitted By: Gina Graham

What's Your Story? I became a Christian at a young age. I had a close relationship with the Lord through high school and college. For a few years around the time I got married, I had many life changes. I moved away from home to Cincinnati for employment, got married, bought a house, and had my first child. My relationship with God suffered as I started doubting Him and why I needed Him. Read more...
