This Month’s mission moment is about a ministry that, though you may not know, has affected you and your worship on a weekly basis. Christian Evangelizing Fellowship (CEF) exists to plant and encourage New Testament Churches all over our area. On July 7, 1987, they helped to establish a new church meeting in the Beckett Ridge Country Club. Any guesses? Yep, Lakota Christian began with the help of CEF.
CEF started in 1956 as a fellowship of local Christian Churches in the Greater Cincinnati area to plant new congregations. Since 1956, CEF has started or funded over thirty new churches. Funds to start new churches come from area Christian Church mission programs and interested individuals. We as Lakota, honor what was done for us by giving back monthly to CEF through our misssion’s giving. This helps other congregations sprout up throughout our area and beyond.
As we look to our future, CEF hopes that we always remember our past and that we as a congregation can help grow churches here and abroad. Because of your generous giving, we are following those who came before us to grow God’s church.
