Parents, I want to share an awesome opportunity for your kids this summer! I grew up going to Clermont Christian Assembly, which is now Woodland Lakes Christian Camp & Retreat Center. I attended the very same camp from the time I was old enough for day camp all the way through high school. Camp definitely had an impact on my walk with Christ. Sure, I loved the water balloon fights, midnight swims, team competitions and staying up late in the cabin with my friends -- but the Christian counselors, the devotions around the campfire and the chapel services with awesome worship stick out in my mind and caused growth in my faith and personal relationship with Christ.
As a parent, I want my kids to experience the same blessings I experienced as a camper and pray that their relationship with Jesus will be stronger as a result. Parents, you will find a camp schedule with registration forms located at the at the Adult Welcome Center. There is also a church-wide sign-up so you can see when other kids from LCC are planning to attend. Let’s gather all of our kids and send them the same weeks of camp to build and strengthen their friendships with each other.
I am pleased to share with you that our Missions Team is supporting all LCC kids who register for camp this year by paying $10 of each child’s camp fee. Also, if you register by April 1st you will save an additional $10. That’s a savings of $20, you can’t beat that! Be sure to write in “$10” on the church scholarship line of your registration form. If you will be registering online, don’t worry about getting a church signature for the scholarship.
