AXIS Volunteer Roles (Sunday Mornings @ 10:00 am)
Discussion Group Leaders
Connects with students in discussion groups to help students process the theme and topic of the day through interactive discussion. The goal is two-fold. Build relationships with students to help them feel connected and help students participate in the spiritual learning process. Leaders meet and greet prior to program, mix with students in large group setting to assist with crowd control and lead in facilitating group discussion. AXIS discussion leaders are responsible for arriving 15 minutes prior to AXIS and being available to meet and greet students. Group leaders are expected to attend periodic training.
Time Commitment: AXIS Leaders will serve a one-year commitment September - August.
Partnership requirements: Must be an CPCC partner.
Assistant Discussion Group Leaders

In case of absence of group leader, the Assistant will lead the group. AXIS discussion leaders are responsible for arriving 15 minutes prior to AXIS and being available to meet and greet students. Asst. Group leaders are expected to attend periodic training.
Time Commitment: AXIS Asst. Leaders will serve a one-year commitment September - August.
Partnership requirements: Must regularly attend CPCC.
AXIS Planning and Production Team
P & P team members will meet weekly (or bi-weekly) to help develop creative plans for AXIS program and assist in preparing program elements. Provides ideas and assignments to creative teams. Creative teams might include Music, Graphics Design, Video, Drama, Set Design, Interactive Experiences, etc.
Time Commitment: will serve for a one-year commitment September - August.
2 hour weekly meeting and needed individual production time.
Partnership requirements: none.
AXIS Host
Serves as the emcee for the program. Welcomes students from stage, handles announcements, and leads any large group “activity”. Moves program from one element to the next as needed and keeps program on schedule. Hosts are responsible for attending a production meeting prior to the program.
Time Commitment: Hosts will make a one-year commitment to serve September - August.
If multiple hosts are secured a rotating schedule will be created.
Partnership requirements: Must be an CPCC partner.
AXIS Setup Team
Ensures that Student Ministry Environment is set as needed with attention to details and cleanliness. Responsible to make sure rooms are set 30 minutes prior to beginning of program.
Time Commitment: Setup team will make a one-year commitment September - August.
Partnership requirements: none.
ONEIGHTY Volunteer Roles (Tuesdays @ 7:00 pm)
Small Group Leader
Connects relationally with 4-8 students to disciple them in becoming more Christ-Centered. These leaders serve a mentoring role and serve as the “front-line youth ministers” to their students. Leaders speak truth into students’ lives and celebrate spiritual growth as they share life. On Tuesday nights, the leader leads their small group in discipleship activities after sharing in the corporate worship time. Connects with their small groups through weekly contacts and Center Pointe Student Ministry events as available. Small group leaders are responsible for arriving 20 minutes prior to ONEIGHTY. One designated week per month, groups will serve in the community in lieu of the corporate program. Group leaders are expected to attend periodic training.
Time Commitment: Small Group Leaders serve on a weekly basis from September to May with time off during the Christmas holiday season. Will require 3-4 hours per week.

Small Groups Coach
Provides leadership and connects relationally with ONEIGHTY small group leaders. Greets students as they arrive, and assists in assigning new students to a small group. Serves as mentor and resource for small group leaders. Also serves as a communication link between Small Group Leaders and staff to be aware of issues that may arise and assess training and support needs. Small group coaches are responsible for arriving 20 minutes prior to ONEIGHTY.
Time Commitment: Small group coaches serve on a weekly basis from September to May with time off during the Christmas holiday season. Planning and training meetings will be scheduled periodically during the summer months. Will require 3-4 hours per week.
Partnership requirements: Must be an CPCC partner.
ONEIGHTY Planning and Production Team

Programming Team Volunteers
Creative Arts Team Leader
Assists in planning creative elements for AXIS and ONEIGHTY. (May include worship band, media design, drama, set design, interactive experiences, etc.) Coordinates a specific creative arts team’s rehearsals and performances. Works on development of team members and new material. Assists in communication of program information to team members.
Time Commitment: Creative Arts Team Leaders will make a one-year commitment June - May. Time commitments will vary.

Participates in a specific creative arts team (May include worship band, media design, drama, set design, interactive experiences, etc.) Team members are expected to attend all rehearsals and performances as scheduled and be on time and prepared.

Tech Team Leader
Coordinates operation of the sound, lights, video and computer equipment during AXIS and ONEIGHTY. Tech Team Leader is responsible for scheduling and training team members. Tech Team Leader is responsible for communicating any Tech needs to staff. May operate as a team member if needed. Assists in communication of program information to team members.
Time Commitment: Tech Team Leader will make a one-year commitment June - May. Time commitments will vary.

Supporting Volunteer Roles
Connections Team Leader
The connections team leader is responsible for the oversight of the Student Ministry connections team. They will coordinate team members and develop them to ensure the most welcoming environment possible at AXIS and ONEIGHTY programs. They are responsible to make sure that the Student Ministry Connections area is appropriately staffed and supplied. They are also responsible to ensure that all visitor and attendance information is delivered to the staff.
Time Commitment: Connections Team Leaders will make a one year-commitment September - August.
Partnership requirements: Must be an CPCC partner.
Connections Team
Helps students feel connected by greeting students and families, guiding them through the registration and check-in process, connecting first time visitors with other students, and answering any questions. Connections team members are responsible for arriving 20 minutes prior to their scheduled program and should stay until 20 minutes after the program starts.
Time Commitment: Connections team members serve for one year September - August.
Rotation specifics will depend on the number of team members.

Café Team Leader
Café Team Leaders are responsible for the oversight of the Crash Room Café. They will schedule and oversee team members. They are also responsible to track and secure supplies. In addition they are responsible for securing the Café cash box. The Team Leaders will communicate any needs or problems with the Student Ministry staff.
Time Commitment: Connections team members serve for one year September - August.
Rotation specifics will depend on the number of team members.

Café Team
Café Team members will set up and operate the Crash Room Café prior to programs. Café Team members are responsible for having the café ready 30 minutes prior to the program. They will set out café items, wait on students who wish to purchase items, and put things away when café closes. This team is designed to enhance the welcoming and relational environment of the Student Ministry and should work to that end.
Time Commitment: Café Team members serve for one year September - August.
Rotation specifics will depend on the number of team members.

Events Planning Team Member
Will work with staff to help generate and plan student ministry events. May serve as chaperone as well.
Time Commitment: Serve a one-year commitment September – August.

Events Chaperone
Events Chaperones are responsible the assisting in the transportation and supervision of students for Student Ministry events. Chaperones will be contacted as events are scheduled. They should focus on providing a safe and positive environment for students and for developing relationships wit students.
Time Commitment: will vary with event.

Fundraising Coordinator
Fundraising coordinators are responsible for developing and organizing fundraising opportunities primarily to help students raise funds for Student Ministry trips that have significant cost (ex – CIY, mission trip, etc.) Coordinators will work with Student Ministry staff to create and organize these opportunities.
Time Commitment: Coordinators will make a one-year commitment September – August.
