Teacher:  Terry Metzler
Dates:  March 7-28, 10:00 am

Right Thinking in a World Gone Wrong: Tragedy & Suffering
Biblical Application
Teacher:  Dave Yocom
Dates:  March 7-28, 10:00 am
Based on the book by John MacArthur, Right Thinking in a World Gone Wrong: A Biblical Response to Today’s Most Controversial Issues.  One of the greatest challenges facing Christians today is the powerful influence of secular thinking.  From all directions we are fed a constant barrage of persuasive – yet unbiblical – worldviews.  This makes it difficult to know where to stand on today’s most talked about issues.  Using the Bible as the foundation you’ll learn how to develop a Christian perspective on key issues such as: political activism, the cult of celebrity, homosexual marriage, euthanasia & suicide, immigration, environmentalism, entertainment & escapism, abortion, birth control, surrogacy, disasters & epidemics, God & the problem of evil.

The Peacemaker
Biblical Application
Teacher:  Gail White
Dates:  February 2 - March 28, 10:00 am
Peacemakers are people who breathe grace.  They draw continually on the goodness and power of Jesus Christ, and then they bring his love, mercy, forgiveness, strength and wisdom to the conflicts of daily life.  The principles of biblical peacemaking are universally counter-cultural.  However, God has provided a way for us to overcome the culture and respond to conflict constructively.

During this class we will learn the following:
1. to view conflict as an opportunity to glorify God and love people well.
2. to identify three specific categories of handling conflict:  peace making, peace faking and peace breaking.
3. to analyze our own, personal style of conflict resolution, assess our natural strengths and weakness, and develop a plan to continuously move ourselves closer to the biblical standard.
4. to confess our own faults in a manner which invites others to offer forgiveness.
5. to offer forgiveness when an offense has been committed against us.
6. to negotiate a peace and restore harmony in relationships.
7. to recite the “Peacemaker Pledge” as an aid to a lifetime commitment to peaceful practices.

This course is for all who are now, have ever been, or will ever be in conflict with another human being!

Women of the Bible
Biblical Foundations: Level II
Teacher:  Casey Purnhagen
Dates:  March7- 28, 10:00 am
Eve didn't trust the God who walked right beside her.  Leah couldn't see His blessings because she was blinded by what she didn't have.  Martha couldn't stop long enough to spend any time with Him.  Sound like anyone you know?  You are not alone - the same struggles these women had, many of us have today.  Join us for a four week study to look at these common struggles: trust, seeing and accepting blessings, and making time -- and most importantly, what we can do about it.
