Plugged in to a Life Group!
What is a Life Group?
A Life Group is a group of 3-12 individuals who meet weekly in homes to commit themselves to doing life together by living out the “one another” passages of scripture through authentic community Bible study and evangelism.
Why is Center Pointe so committed to Life Groups?
We exist to make disciples. It was a commandment Jesus gave to His disciples in Matthew 28:18-20. Following the example of Jesus and the New Testament church in the book of Acts, we believe discipleship happens best in the context of smaller groups. Life Groups will be the place where our mission of connecting people to Christ and each other to change lives forever is best accomplished.
Why should I consider joining a Life Group?
God didn’t create us to go through life alone. He created us to live in community with each other. Life Groups will be an environment where people can connect with each other, study scripture, invite their friends and neighbors, and be challenged to grow in their relationship with Jesus. It’s the place where our needs are met and where we can meet the needs of others. It’s a place where we can come together to use our spiritual gifts and experience life change. Life Groups are the place where people journey together toward a life of Christ-centeredness.
How do I get connected into a Life Group?
The easiset way you can get connected to a Life Group is filling out our online registration form by clicking on the "Click here to get Plugged in to a Life Group" link above. You may also sign up by filling out a Life Group brochure on Sunday morning in the Connections room, or attending our Starting Pointe class. Our Life Group Ministry Assistant, Kristine Bennett, will then contact you with several groups that fit your needs as well as the appropriate group leaders to notify them that you may be visiting their group. These group leaders will give you a call to introduce themselves and setup a time to get together or a time for you to visit the group. Then all you do is visit some groups and determine which one you and your family best connected with. If you have any more questions, please contact the church office and ask for Kristine Bennett or our Life Groups and Outreach Minister Keith Wilson!
